No Bueno

Well, this week's weigh in was a bust. I didn't lost anything. But I knew that would be the case, because my whole body felt weighed down, like I was full of fluid. So I can only think the numbers on the scale weren't accurate. I don't know why I felt so bloated all weekend? We've been eating a lot of bagels - maybe that's it. I tried to drink my water this week, and thought I was doing pretty well. All I can do is get back at it tomorrow. That's all you can ever do - keep at it! I was hoping to find something to replace water in the afternoon, something that would still hydrate me, but no luck yet. Water can be hard sometimes... What keeps me going is how far I've come. I realized since I started this journey in 2018, I've lost 2inches off my stomach, and 4 inches off my hips. It might be small, but it's something, and it has stayed off. Small victories, and time to keep at it for more results! I have a goal, and I am determined to...

It's Go Time!

Well, here I am TRYING again. I gained 10lbs over the time of this Pandemic. It's due to snacking that I was not doing before, whether it be boredom, stress, or frustration. It's due to eating more bread and carbs than I was before (Easter didn't help with the chocolate we bought). And it's also probably some water weight (I hope) from too much sodium that I wasn't eating before. Are you in the same boat as me? I mean, I'm just frustrated, SO FRUSTRATED. And I snack. BUT, the good news is, taking back control this past week, I lost 2 lbs of that 10. I eat healthy and smart Monday through Thursday. I let myself enjoy food Friday and Saturday, and sometimes Sunday. Then I get back at it. So that's where I'm at again. But that works for me, because it gives me something to look forward to. And have you ever eaten until you thought you were going to pop? Yeah, me too. But I don't do that anymore. (as much as I may want to sometimes) I refus...

Week One and this is hard...

Hope you all are doing well, but how are you coping with trying to stay home? I had a really bad food week. I realized why I don't "stock up" on food like I used to before I adopted trying to eat healthy. My freezer was always full of boxed frozen items (chicken nuggets, waffles, pierogies, steakums, etc), and the panty boxed processed crap (mashed potatoes, stuffing, cookies). Well, we stopped buying a lot of that. A normal shopping trip now is us buying fresh ground meat and chicken breasts, fresh veggies and fruit, frozen broccoli and cauliflower (nothing with sauce on it). What I have in my freezer and panty now makes me anxious and I don't like it. SO MANY CARBS. Ugh... I just can't. And the stress has me buying a few pieces of chocolate and treats that I wouldn't normally. I was so scared to step on the scale this morning, because pandemic or no pandemic, it is still Friday, and Friday is weigh in day. I didn't gain a single pound from last w...
